First flight, first crash: a motor came off.
Around 10am, the first take-off. A motor detaches in flight — screws torqued without threadlocker. Throttle cut in time.
flight first take-off fault motor detached in flight cause screws without threadlocker + soft frame fall ~1 m · no damage
Around ten in the morning, first real take-off. A few seconds in the air, then a motor detaches.
The cause is dumb and instructive: the screws were torqued without threadlocker, and on a still-slightly-soft frame, the vibration eventually shook everything loose. I cut the throttle in time — a fall of about a meter, no damage.
Lesson paid in cash: on an object that vibrates at thousands of RPM, threadlocker is not optional. The full autopsy is written, and public.
