Tap test: the culprit is the mount.

An A/B hammer test finally locates the resonator: the compliance of the battery mount. We know what to stiffen.

To hunt a resonance, you tap the structure and measure how it vibrates. A/B test: we finally isolate the resonator — it’s not the frame, it’s the compliance (the softness) of the battery mount, around ~15.8 Hz in flight. We know what to stiffen.

On the counter, flight number 86 — around thirty actually logged flights, roughly 1 h 16 of cumulative logs since the first take-off.

The next step is clear: a rigid battery mount that moves this mode out of the band that hurts. Then, finally, a truly clean hover.
